David Walliams dropped by book publisher.

The comedian

Best-selling children's author and comedian David Walliams has parted ways with his publisher HarperCollins UK, according to an announcement.

A representative for the company stated: "Upon deliberation, and under the leadership of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish any new titles by David Walliams."

It has been reported that the conclusion was reached following an inquiry regarding claims about questionable actions involving young women.

The firm declined to specify the specific rationale behind the move, stating: "We do not comment on confidential company decisions."

A Prolific Literary Career

Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, boasting over more than 60 million copies globally in 55 languages.

The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins in 2008.

Some of his works, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into small-screen adaptations.

To date, he has released in excess of 40 works altogether, which features a holiday title called *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins last autumn.

Television and Literature

He first rose to fame on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He received an OBE several years ago in recognition of his work for philanthropic and artistic endeavors.

The publisher's decision comes after the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO this past October.
