Oscar-Nominated Star Diane Ladd, Known For Her Role in Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore, Passes Away at 89 Years Old.

This award-nominated performer Diane Ladd, a Hollywood veteran passed away aged 89.

This star, with roles featured Chinatown, passed away at home in California’s Ojai. Her passing was announced through a message by her daughter, award-winning actress her daughter Laura Dern.

Dern, who appeared with her mom in several movies such as Wild at Heart, referred to her as “my incredible hero and my precious gift being my mom”, noting that she was at her bedside as she died.

“She was the most wonderful mother, daughter, grandmother, performer, creative as well as compassionate soul that felt like a dream come true,” she wrote. “We were blessed to have her. She is now with the angels.”

Initial Roles and Rise to Fame

Ladd’s early career included minor parts in TV shows including Perry Mason and the 1970s featured her performing alongside the legendary Jack Nicholson in the classic Chinatown.
