The young golfer will have plenty of well-known cheerleaders as she begins her first LPGA appearance later this week.

This teenage golfer, who happens to be connected to a former US president, obtained a tournament invitation to participate at the Annika competition in Florida.

Her grandfather, someone who loves golf, operates several international courses and often matches against Kai.

"He's quite skilled. I shouldn't elaborate but we play competitive games," she mentioned.

The golfer shared that her grandfather, who won't be present, told her: "Simply avoid anxiety."

"He basically advised me to go out there and enjoy myself," she explained.

"To me, he's simply an ordinary family member. He can't make it this weekend. He's occupied with presidential duties, making him quite busy."

As an amateur, Kai has played in just three tournaments in 2024 and maintains ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association listings.

However she's able to get advice from golf legend, romantically involved with Vanessa.

"He is the best player worldwide," Kai stated.

"Additionally, he's an even better human being. He suggested me to play, have fun, and go with whatever happens."

The golfer will compete against multiple most prominent players in the sport at the competition, featuring second-ranked Nelly Korda, England's golfer Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.

Tournament organizers commented that her participation helps introduce the sport to wider groups, especially reaching younger fans.

Kai has millions of followers and just introduced a personal apparel and wellness brand.

Her first tee time at 17:30 GMT.
